The actual wording of the position statement which relegates vitalism and subluxation has not been tested with CMCC staff despite their claims of their being a ‘staff survey’. It sits within a position statement most staff do not read in full, and starts with positions that are laudable, but then slips in the denial statement almost as an afterthought. However if the leadership of CMCC takes this position, then staff and students have no option to think otherwise. To me this seems the antithesis of academic freedom where the ability to prosecute a point of view is vital.
