The CCE suddenly appeared after Chiropractic won the antitrust lawsuit when I was still in school. They declared themselves our new governing agency and proceeded to take over the regulations and control of the colleges. It had the sense of we won the battle, but looking back we have lost the war. They gradually took control of the schools away from their founders and have forced Chiropractic into what we have today.
Then the NBCE has become a political organization that is fleecing the future of our profession with multiple repetitive national boards at ridiculous excessive fees. Now declaring they are the only path to certify Chiropractors and Chiropractic. Together they have become the problem that hinders our great profession. This article states what many of us have realized since the beginning of the CCE takeover. The NBCE and FCLB truly has become a cartel for their own benefit and lost site of the good of our profession. We are the only profession that requires multiple national boards at outrageous costs. It’s no wonder there are alternative professions splintering off Chiropractic. I can understand that and even support it if we can’t take our profession back. Imagine if Chiropractic was ran by Doctors who live and love Chiropractic like BJ Palmer, Sid Williams, Jimmy Parker, Fred Barge, and so many others who have passed. Thank you to Dr’s Kent and McCoy for continuing to keep awareness of this growing problem. Let’s get organized before it’s too late, and hopefully it’s not.
